Node-Locked License
Activation
- To activate your product, save the license file to the 'license' subfolder of the installation directory.
Dongle License
Activation
- To activate your product, save the license file to the 'license' subfolder of the installation directory.
- Plug the dongle into a USB port.
Driver Installation (If required)
Troubleshooting with lmutil lmhostid
- Diagnostic tool to read the host and dongle ID from the current system.
- Find the tool lmutil within our license server package.
Floating License
Activation (Client)
- To activate your product, save the license file to the 'license' subfolder of the installation directory.
- Alternative: Double click LicenseManager.jar in the installation directory and Change the 'License Server IP' field.
Enter the address of the FlexNet license server as follows: port@IP e.g. 26000@192.168.1.103
Installation (Server)
License server setup for all MES tools (MXAM from 4.0, MoRe from 1.0, MTest from 4.0, M-XRAY from 3.1)
- The FlexNet Publisher (FNP) libraries integrated in the MES license module have been updated to version 11.16.
If you are using a floating license server which is lower than version 11.16. you have to update this installation.
Otherwise incompatibility issues may occur between the license module and the FlexNet server libraries.
- The license file must be installed on your server.
- Download the MES license server installation package:
MES_lm-11.19.1_License_Server.zip

Extend an Existing License Server (lmadmin only)
- The current FlexNet Publisher version is 11.16. Please ensure compatibility to your license server installation.
- Retrieve the MES vendor daemon from our license server package.
- Apply the MES vendor daemon (MES.exe) and the license file to your existing FlexNet license server.
Set Up a New License Server
- Please use the respective installer and follow the instructions given inside the license server package.
Troubleshooting and Additional Functionality with lmutil
- The lmutil.exe provides several utilities and additional functionality for setting up and working with a FlexNet license server.
